This is the first time I have ever created a blog or posted anything to a blog. I have created this blog as part of the requirements needed for my Intro to Principles of Computer Security class (CIS 205). I know people who love to blog but I had never considered blogging as a creative outlet for my own thoughts.
I was excited about taking this class because I wanted to expand my knowledge of computer security and what can affect it. I am more excited now because I think this class will be presented in a unique manner. Several of the requirements are unlike anything I have encountered so far in an on-line class, and this blog is just one example.
I think that blogging my thoughts and experiences in this class will provide a clear road map to anyone who reads this as to just how much I have learned throughout this semester. It will also prove to be an excellent reminder to me about what I have accomplished. At work I am required to keep a running list of what I have learned or accomplished throughout the year. The list aids both myself, and my boss, when it is time for my yearly review. This blog should prove to be no different.
